Tu B'Av: A Heart-Opening Journey Into Love

Tu B'Av, the 15th of Av. The summer full moon, the grape harvest, a day of ecstatic joy and celebration in ancient Israel. Maidens would gather in the fields dressed in white, and dance in the vineyards to meet their beloveds. Shortly after the period of mourning "the Ninth of Av" commemorating Jewish destruction and tragedy, this is a day for celebration, and is celebrated to this day as a Festival of Love.

Join us for an evening of ceremonial ritual journeying into the depths of the nature of "Love", that is both human and divine. We will drink cacao ceremonially, explore heart-opening meditation, songs and chants, and move our bodies in a guided dance journey, delving into the lyrical esotericism of Song of Songs, an ancient Biblical poem of human and divine love.

We will be experiencing magic, expansion, heartbreak and ascension through movement, meditation, chant and song, with the sacred cacao spirit to nurture us, hold us and open our hearts into the highest expression of Divine love.

Doors open 7pm. Please be on time to settle into space for our opening ritual at 7.30pm.

We are honored to be opening the sacred space that is The Dance Temple, and look forward to blessing it with gratitude and abundance.

Energy Exchange: $25 - $35 sliding scale.
