Miriam Eisenberger, LCSW - Meditation Educator

Miriam believes that Mindfulness practices are accessible to anyone with the right introductory guidance. She has studied with many great teachers from Buddhist, Jewish, and Mindfulness meditative traditions and enjoys integrating these varying perspectives into her teachings.

Miriam is a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience in the field of mental health and group work. She frequently teaches at the Jewish Meditation Center of Brooklyn, at Congregation Beth Elohim in Brooklyn, and is a certified Mindfulness Teacher through The Mindfulness Training Institute. She has been collaborating with The Gene-Sis since 2015 on creating mindfulness-based, spiritual Jewish programming including Shabbat, ceremonies and rituals.

Miriam is a Reiki Master and trained in Somatic Experiencing, fusing shamanic healing practices with meditation and mindfulness to create utmost healing for her clients across mind, body and spirit.

Rishe Groner - Retreat Hostess & Spiritual Educator

Rishe Groner is founder of The Gene-Sis, an embodied, experiential approach to personal growth and Jewish spirituality. She creates sacred spaces for people to experience Judaism that is real, accessible and inspiring, bringing Jewish ritual where people seek meaning.

Her eighteen years of Jewish educational leadership includes IsraeLinks, Birthright, Limmud NY, Isabella Freedman, Brooklyn spiritual startups, and festivals such as Burning Man. She teaches at Romemu in New York, and writes about feminism, Judaism and spirituality in Lilith, Tablet and on The Gene-Sis.

Born in Melbourne, Australia to a Chassidic family, Rishe has founded and served on the board of numerous synagogues and spiritual startups, both in Australia and since relocating to Brooklyn in 2010. Rishe has worked on Madison Avenue, Wall St, and the international headquarters of a global Jewish movement in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Her proudest experiences in spiritual leadership have been at festivals, including teaching the Kabbalah of feminism at Burning Man and leading Shabbat on the beach at Gratitude Migration. She believes in embodied practice as the answer to liberation today, and frequently dances, drums, chants and prays all over Brooklyn.

Theresa "Shiny" Galeani - Retreat Manager

Theresa "Shiny" Galeani is a dedicated Meeting and Event Planner with 10+ years experience in corporate meeting planning, large scale events, and multi day festivals. She is a detail-oriented professional with strengths in event creation, thinking WAY outside the box, and execution.

Shiny started her event career at 22, after her first trip to Burning Man. She returned with a desire to change her life to being completely of service. Having worked with countless events she still keeps annual ties to Lakes of Fire, Burning Man, Playa Del Fuego, Maker Faire, to name a few.
